What Can Be
Done?
BOTOX® (Botulinum Toxin Type A) injection
is a treatment for severe primary axillary hyperhidrosis
patients who are not responding to topical therapies,
such as over-the-counter antiperspirants and topical
aluminum chloride hexahydrate.
BOTOX® is not a cure, but an ongoing treatment
for severe primary axillary hyperhidrosis not
adequately managed with topical agents. BOTOX®
treatment helps control severe underarm sweating
by temporarily blocking the nerves that stimulate
the sweat glands. Research has shown that treating
severe primary axillary hyperhidrosis with BOTOX®
may provide effective, temporary control in many
patients.
BOTOX® is not a cure; your symptoms will
return gradually, and you will know when the time
is right for another treatment. will recommend
